Anyone mention Dougal Reed's "Rumours"? Faith Healers / Quickspace doing the Fleetwood Mac lp in its entirety.
Also, this may be scandalous, but I enjoy Tar's "Non-Alignment Pact" more than the Pere Ubu original.

Slobberbone's cover is more like Tar's than the original.

Don't know if anybody mentioned this:
The Butthole Surfers performed a cover of R.E.M.'s "The One I Love" long ago, on a limited-edition live record to which I used to listen.
They brought a certain intensity to the song that really served it well.

You are welcome to feel this way. I like the Tar version literally
as much as the Ubu version. Exactly as much.
I feel the same way about Big Black's "He's a Whore" and Silkworm's "Ooh La La".

Probably been mentioned before, but Elvis Costello's version of "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding" is truly great.
That riff is really great played loud and clean.
