Strange movie. I really wanted to like it, and I guess I did albeit with strong reservations. Tonally it is all over the place. If I knew more about it before watching I would have steeled myself for the jarring shifts in tone but where's the fun in that. Prior to watching I was unfamiliar with the subspecies of goblins called Redcaps and when they finally made their appearance they were too cute to be so wicked. I laughed. Sometimes unintentionally. This movie is like a deeply vicious Gremlins. It gets incredibly dark, gnarly, and surreal, but it's also comedic. NC with sizeable waffles.

I recent watched an old one called Necromancy with Orson Welles as a cult leader. Bad editing aside, this one is a good watch.

Ever since watching Willow Creek a few weeks back I've been a bit obsessed with tracking down quality Bigfoot spookfests to no avail. Exists was awful with terrible characters who I wanted to see dispensed of in the worst ways. Abominable (2006) was fair, I guess, but only because of the kills, practical effects, and gore, none of which behooves me to rewatch. I need tension, atmosphere, and great acting. Need to see genuine fear expressed by the actors, and not flat, generic acting. Boring! Any recommendations? I fear Willow Creek might be an outlier.

Speaking of creeks I finally got around to watching Wolf Creek. Boring! Attractive cast tho. What a dumb ending.

Looking forward to the upcoming Talk to Me to revive my faith in Aussie horror after the aforementioned Wolf Creek.

For Bigfoot stuff try: 2018's Primal Rage, the first 1/4 is a little "ehhh", but once it is going it got real fun. I dug it for a Bigfoot film. It mixes a little Predator in with the Bigfoot subgenre.

There is also the infamous 1980s Night of the Demon. Really low budget, but its a wild film featuring a really pissed off Bigfoot.

I've seen that! The thing I remember the most was a creative kill featuring a sleeping bag.

The motorcycle scene is the one that got me!

Night of the Demons also introduced me to Bauhaus! Respect.

I get so confused by those Night of the Demon(s) movies. Never seen either, but I know that one deals with Bigfoot and the other zombies. God forbid someone mentions Night of the Comet; I'll have a stroke.
