Nick Cave and Warren Ellis' new live album, which is good.
Earlier I had on the new record by a guy called Burna Boy, which was characterized by the Guardian as Afrobeat. If this is Afrobeat now, then Bad Bunny is Afrobeat, and I'm not in favor of that.
The kids in LA are all about reggaeton, which is what I thought Bad Bunny was.
Reggaeton makes me feel like an out of touch person whose main critique of any type of music is it all sounds the same

I''ve been suffering that disgusting reggaeton shit for almost 20 years now.
I think it's the worst thing to ever happen to mankind.
I'm an old man yelling at clouds type fella, but still, I know I'm right.

If I hear a reggaeton beat in a song, I turn it off immediately.

Although... This is something like it, no? Always exceptions.

There are always exceptions on every genre I guess. There are even a couple of Ska and Nu metal songs I can sing along.
But as a whole nothing is worse than Reggaeton. The standard or "bad" Reggaeton is the worst of the worst.

Watched a performance of 4'33". First time "listening" to it. The experience was very unexpected, since I thought of it as just a meme piece. It was not just silence, but a special kind of silence. I became aware that it was a certain specific moment where this happened, different from other moments. In intense concentration the whole time. Odd and unsettling.
One of my first thoughts was "this is what being dead sounds like".
