Re: What are you listening to right now?
2322it's been a while but I just threw on Live at the Witch Trials... is it just me or are the drums mixed way the fuck hilariously loud? I remember thinking that the first time I heard it but they're even louder than I remember them being.
Re: What are you listening to right now?
2323The moon certainly is putting on a show right now. In years past FM Bradley R. Weissenberger and I would trade texts on nights like this about its brilliance. I'd comment that he should listen to "Alone With the Moon" by Tiger Lillies but Martyn Jacques' contra tenor was a bit too much for him. This cover was an appropriate compromise.
Go and look at the moon.

2327McConnell's most recent attempted performance of John Cage's 4'33"
He keeps getting cut off short, it's a shame. Let the man finish the piece in full.

2329One could argue there are plenty of 'questionable' mixing choices throughout the Fall discograpy but it all adds the effect, intended or not.mrcancelled wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 3:15 pm it's been a while but I just threw on Live at the Witch Trials... is it just me or are the drums mixed way the fuck hilariously loud? Been listening to Time Out of Mind today and it might be among my favorite Dylan albums.
Oddly enough, this song and performance reminds me of the Fall.
