I don't understand why he is still referred to as President Trump. Barack Obama doesn't receive the same courtesy and he served two terms and didn't incite a insurrection or refuse to return classified documents or admit to sexually assaulting women or end-up adjudicated for sexually assaulting a woman or mock a differently-abled reporter and so on and so forth.

I noticed that Harris referred to him in that way when she normally would have otherwise used the term "Man." I possibly overthought it, but she had a couple of moments where it seemed like a willful substitution as a swipe at his maturity.

They (the serious adults in media) really do go out of their way to legitimize Trump. They can't call him out as a crazy lunatic, because that would be admitting Trump is really their fault. Candidates have lied and fibbed in debates, sure, but never has a serious candidate at this level ever said such blatant and ridiculous shit before.

"They want to perform transfender surgery on illegal immigrants in prisons."

And I thought, "They're eating dogs," was going to be the craziest thing said of the evening.

Oddly I don't think I'd previously heard him use the word "terrah" and.. like so many other things he says and does, weird.

I watched maybe 30 minutes of it and it was about as expected. Kamala is a stiff speaker/debater but admittedly the sound bites land pretty well the next day. I wish she would ease up on the Republican endorsements because it sells short the wider appeal she actually has, and the ex-Republican vote is a pretty narrow base.

I really wanted Trump to finish with, "They're eating dogs! Thank you." He couldn't even deliver on that.

Sure he does, a lot, all former presidents get that. Not everyone addresses all of them that way all the time, but I have certainly heard Obama called that. I'd love to hear Trump referred as "convicted felon Trump," though. I think she did mention that.

Totally. And not to veer off too much into tin foil hat territory that is also why the Epstein files are dead in the water because to be fully transparent would incriminate a lot of powerful people on both sides and in many industries.

I believe he really believes the nutball shit he says, and part of me also believes that his handlers or whatever feeds him this nonsense or casually look away when he's spouting it in the service of self-sabotage. Sure, they'd like to have Project 2025 implemented and continue on their path of returning America to its former patriarchal glory, but they really don't need him anymore. I'm sure the lot of them would love for him to go away and so they give him as much rope as needed to finish the job.

I hear him called "Mr. Obama" moreso than "President Obama." It's a quibble but it also feels like cakes said a way for the media to legitimize him.

So is this, like, one of those guitars that's halfway between a Les Paul and a Tele?

A thousand times this.
Sorry, we can get back to the important issues like transgender cat eating momentarily, but this statement is fucking bonkers. You are literally giving them a chance to own keys to the nuclear bombs and an already overdrawn pocketbook for four years. You should stand behind and be liable for your decision. A transaction would be paying your taxes...in that case there is no choice implied or allowed, and thus limited culpability.

It’s called a Deluxe.
