Heckle and Jeckle, Ray Rayner and Friends, The Beatles cartoon show, Looney Tunes, The Three Stooges.
Now what do they have? Bratz? Sparkly advertisements for cheap 'n ugly Chinese-made toys masquerading as entertainment? Feh.
They don't have cartoons in the morning anymore.
But in the evening they have adult swim.
Which is quite a fine thing, if not necessarily kiddie-oriented.

I do not, and will never subscribe to Cable Tee-Vee.
Having the Internets is bad enough.

"Family Room."
I haven't heard that term in awhile, but that may be because I live in the South, and I spent my forst 6 years in Indiana. Do people still say that?

In the mid '60s my dad converted the basement in our '20s brick standard-Chicago house into a cool Family Room. Cut a hole in the dining room for a staircase, built a little bar in the corner, outfitted it with rattan furniture, bought a Color Tee-Vee and put it into a recess in the wall. I wish I had that room.
