Finally fucking beat (not finished, 96%) Hollow Knight. 59 hours. Overall it’s good, but I hate when there are alternate, supposedly more satisfying story endings that are locked behind ultra difficult stuff. I guess I’ll never see those.
Friends are suggesting I try Heroes of Hammerwatch.

At 96% you should be pretty close, depending what you haven’t gotten yet. Did you fully awaken the Dream Nail and go to the White Palace?

At 96% you should be pretty close, depending what you haven’t gotten yet. Did you fully awaken the Dream Nail and go to the White Palace?
Yeah. Can you even fight the "final" boss without the awoken Dream Nail? Or do you mean I need another upgrade beyond that?
Anyway, I have been to the White Palace, realized it would take months to handle all the crazy platforming there. I know that there's a charm you get for finishing it and beating the Traitor Lord, who I've tried dozens of times without success.
I saved Cloth on this run, unfortunately, so I can't cheese the Traitor Lord. If it was just the White Palace it might make sense to give it a shot.
Part of my 96% might be that I did some of the Grimm Troupe stuff, but not much. Just the first two missions.

I think I burned myself out doing the DLC content along the way, since it's all incorporated into the main game and makes it longer.
By the time I'd wasted enough of my life on the last colosseum fight and the fucking White Palace, I didn't have the will to go fight the final boss. Not to mention the game was strongly hinting that the ending would be sadcore.

There is another boss that requires a few extra steps which cant be completed if you haven’t defeated the Traitor Lord and traversed the White Palace.
If you haven’t already (and you’re interested in continuing to play) I’d suggest maxing out your nail (requires three Pale Ore) and converting Fragile Strength and Fragile Heart to their respective Unbreakable versions. Requires a shit-ton of Geo, but worth it, especially Unbreakable Strength. Then defeat Grimm and get the Charm Notch from him.
FWIW, my favorite Charm combination is Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Steady Body, Longnail, and then Wayward Compass and Gathering Swarm if I’m exploring, or a relevant charm for combat. This combination allows you to melee the shit out of the Hollow Knight.

I don’t have the last notch, but I do have the final nail and even went to see the nailsmith at his new job. I have the unbreakable charms too.

It seems counterintuitive but staying close to the Traitor Lord is the way to go. Slash and hurdle repeatedly.
I just completed the 3rd Pantheon last night and made it to the end of the 4th today. Now I have to figure out how to defeat the Pure Vessel.

The Long Dark is hard as fuck. The way you're against the clock all the time and there's no automatic regeneration at all so mistakes carry through far into the future.
I chose mid difficulty, maybe too much. But I want to walk around and explore! Guess that's not what you do when you're trying to survive, yeah?

Finished Little Nightmares. Very atmospheric, very nice art but also very short.
