Operative phrase in the question IMO:
"that transgender and non-binary people who rely on the state for medical care – including those in prison and immigration detention"
A reasonably moral prosecutor would have to say yes to that question, which is why I call it poisoned. An immoral person would say no. It's a gotcha.

You can say it’s reasonable
But when trump says it out loud it’s “crazy” and Harris laughs it off.

My ex worked for Delta so we got free standby flights. In the early 00s it was so cheap in the US we’d fly red eye to New York for weekend shopping trips and shows. I want to reinforce the flight came at zero cost. So it was basically the train to the airport and a night in a hotel. Even NY was insanely cheap compared to London. Apple products were basically half price.
It got increasingly expensive over the years. Even before Covid groceries in the US seemed really expensive. I think eating out was “cheaper” but only because of plate sizes compared to the UK. Inflation is like the “frog in boiling water” thing. It suddenly creeps up on you as you income stagnates.

"Now she wants to do Transgender operations on illegal aliens that are already in prison."
That's the exact quote from Trump, which is, yes, crazy.
Operative phrase "to do."

That can be found around minute 40 of my recording of the debate so you don't have to search for it.

To be fair, I think a lot of that has to do w/the exchange rate becoming more favorable for Americans.
The dollar was pitifully, almost artifically low for most of the '00s, even into the early '10s. Despite inflation, Britain, some of the EU, and Japan don't seem a whole lot more expensive for the average American now than they were almost 20 years ago. In fact, some things are cheaper now. But that's just b/c we're not losing anywhere from 60 to 95 cents on the greenback anymore, inflation be damned.

Traveling abroad for Americans sucked a little in those days—although the comparative lack of crowds was terrific.

I haven't been to Europe since 2017, but I don't remember London being that expensive for an American. I think the pound was $1.25, and the prices were commensurate with larger American cities.

“To do” is the crazy phrase??
I don’t understand how you can misinterpret that. Do you think that means involuntary surgery?
We all know he meant. She supports funding them, just like she plainly wrote.

There’s zero chance the US government is going suddenly give public healthcare to an infinitesimally small section of the population.

Trump is the most mentally-ill person I've seen on TV, and I saw GG Allin on Jerry Springer.
