24931- I had another ATP/band dream last night. This time it was Shellac. I noticed flies swarming above the audience. The band was setting up and I was at the front with some friends. All of a sudden Bob Weston is behind me and does that annoying poke-in-the-sides tickle. The dream ended before they played! Annoying!
2- I read alomst the enitre Climbie Report about the death of a 7yr old girl from the Ivory Coast dying at the hands of her abusive aunt and the Social Services/Health Authorities ineptitude and inability to communicate and prevent her death. She was only in the UK for 11 months. This happened in 2000 and yet a worryingly similar case happened last year. I get sooooo angry.
3- I made a Thai Green Curry. I semi-followed a recipe from the tv and instead of blending and making a paste I did this: chopped 3 green chillies, 4 spring onions, 4 cloves garlic and added it all to quorn pieces already cooking in cocnut milk, coriander, cumin and black pepper. DELICIOUS!
4- Now I have to read about sputum and the Bristol Enquiry (about the practise of removing dead babies organs without consent) and possibly watch BB with a wee bifter.
The birds are singing, it's a lovely evening, life is good.

2499Today I went to the dentist with what I thought was an abcessed tooth. Turns out one of my molars has a huge chunk missing and they cannot salvage the tooth. So, tomorrow they are going to pull that sucker out and in a few weeks they'll put in a new tooth. Oh, they also are going to yank out one of my wisdom teeth, while they're at it. With no insurance, this is costing me almost $1,500.

2500I was taking a nap before work and I heard one of the cats coughing up a hairball. Before I left, I looked for the hairball so I could clean it up but couldn't find it anywhere.
Also, one of the cats dragged a two-pound bag of rice from the pantry and scattered it all over the place. While I was vacuuming it up, the motor on my vacuum cleaner burnt out. Most of my apartment is carpeted so I can't sweep it up. I've been picking up stray grains of rice by hand whenever I spot them. I have to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Until then there are piles of rice everywhere.
