What was kerble doing to merit the two-handed intervention? Maybe the Michael McDonald voice, maybe Auschwitz jokes. Who knows?
I'm almost 99.9% positive it was the Michael McDonald singing.

Michael McDonald covering "Have Nagila"?

You know he's sitting at home at his computer singing it the minute he reads this.

Absolutely. Same here - their set blew me the fuck away towards the end there, and then on top of that, there was toplessness! And I was drunk! Titties 'n' beer! A perfect rock'n'roll combo!

BUT SERIOUSLY, the downside of that happening - like I was seriously blown the fuck away by their music/sounds, but then I felt like after the set, I wanted to say "HOLY FUCK THAT WAS AMAZING!" but then nearby ladies would have been all "Yeah, I bet I know why you thought that was amazing... nudge, nudge, wink, wink".

ARGH. As a blind man even, I would have found that set to be FUCKING AMAZING.

I remember having some drunken rambling conversation with her afterwards outside about revelations I had recently had re-listening to 'Purple On Time' and whatever I was saying, either she agreed heartily, or else she was very convincingly being very kind to a drunk, because I felt that "YES. YOU GET EXACTLY WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY" moment...

...and then I almost instantly felt creepy for being so enthusiastic about that moment, because I perceived that her surrounding dude friends were giving me that look like "Oh great, this fathead creep saw her rocker chick boobies, now he wants to chat..." AND IT REALLY, REALLY WASN'T LIKE THAT.

Argh - so frustrating - in that moment, if I could have instantly transformed myself into an obviously straight lady, or an obviously not-straight man, I would've felt way more comfortable and enjoyed hanging out and rapping some more. She seemed really cool.

P.S. to Erawk, etc. who have asked about my brother again, but might have missed this thread: [T&G Afterparty Aftermath]: The Ballad Of 'pockets'

Did you know anyone from this board back then?

Well I'd already known H-GM and Dugong for at least 15 years and Johnny13 even longer than that. (20 years maybe? Jeezus...) I'd also met Mark Hansen several times at various parties back in the day.

Frank Zappa apparently thought so.

Oh man. LKN. This was a loooooooooooong time ago. Again, I miss this weekend. You would've been able to see all 120 lbs of me crushed against the front fence for the scratch acid & big black performance. When Big Black went up, David Yow was right in front of me, saw the expression on my face, and said to me "can you believe this is happening?"

YES this actually happened. NO I couldn't believe it was. I've never had a more rocked out experience (even the flipper incident wasn't this crazy). I miss this weekend a lot and wish I could relive it. SO.... see y'all there for the golden anniversary???? huh huh huh????
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
