I feel like calling something an assassination attempt when shots were not fired is inaccurate. Words have meanings. He's a loon, sure, had a gun, yes, aimed at Trump, OK. But if he did not pull the trigger, there was no attempt. I think the news ought to be more accurate wrt its reporting. The right fucks with words enough, the rest of us shouldn't.

Candidate Stein, this is probably not the best way to prove you’re not a Russian stooge

It's people who see voting as an expression of their personal beliefs rather than as a tactical decision who are narcissistic.
That is missing my point: why is that only ever fucking directed at marginalized people who do that but not likewise for transphobes and zionists who vote as expressions of their personal beliefs? There is an huge fucking double standard here and it’s fucking shitty to constantly encounter this. I *never* see anyone complaining about transphobes or zionists in the Democratic party who wouldn’t get in line to vote if Harris explicitly supported trans rights or not sending arms to Israel. Instead I log on the internet every day to see cis people fucking hammering on and on against trans people for this and it fucking feels like shit, especially when it’s coming from people who claim they aren’t transphobic despite always seeming to aim their ire at us if we don’t completely fall in line. Jesus fucking christ I hate that I even have to explain this
The answer, of course, is simple: those people currently have power, and the negotiations around national electoralism are fundamentally about the conditions under which they maintain their power! It’s obvious hypocrisy and seeing ordinary liberal voters parrot that shit is reflective of a deep disease at the heart of the neoliberal project, but I’m not really surprised — the GOP isn’t the only group that has lists of disposable people

Personally I have found some of the responses to your stated position quite baffling. It has often looked like people are misunderstanding, or perhaps even misrepresenting what you've said. I understand their position, but don't get how they can't see the logic in what you propose. This seems to often be the left's problem.
Thanks. Sometimes it’s seems any difference in opinion has to be a fight to the death. That’s just not how I see it anymore. I get people have very strong opinions on certain single issues that impact their lives or just even as allies. But progressive politics is intersectional, most single issues are connected to a wider injustice.

In an entirely left field (eh em) topic, the rise of Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) is intriguing. Aside from the slight personality cult around the party leader this new (old) socialism seems to be working in holding back the AfD in Germany. They are definitely tapping into the unease for many German workers while proposing a somewhat old school version of socialism that hasn’t been seen since the post-communist parties of the early 90s. I’m not that enamoured there’s plenty to critique but they are vacuuming up voters from the left and that were drifting towards the AfD. I would note that the “pro Russian” label is a liberal invention. The party is proposing a negotiated settlement between Russia and the Ukraine. This is going to happen eventually regardless. But as always liberals want forever war to distract from their anti worker agenda.

As always by liberals I mean that the technocratic centre right like the Dems or current UK Labour Party.
