I'm sure its been mentioned many times already, but the Line 6 DL-4 is pretty fucking cool. I got mine in 2000 and have got a lot of use out of it. Its one of the most ubiquities pedals as well, at concerts I see more people with it than without it. It could be much better (more presets, tempo sync), but it does the job.

Guitar Rig 3 is awesome as well, especially with a foot controller.

Reverse boner to the max.

Anyone have extended experience with the Ibanez AD-9 Analog Delay?

I messed with one at a megastore that doesn't bear mentioning, and it sounded ok for the few minutes I got to plink around. Not looking for anything spacy, just something to give a little thump after the initial attack of the note. To kinda make it sound bigger without washing the sound out with reverb.

I've looked at the Keeley and Analogman mods. Both make it true bypass. The Keeley's more affordable and apparently they make it so you can hold down the Ibanez switch and the delay will start to feedback.

Anyone know anything about Keeley? His stuff looks really tasty. Anyone have his compressor?

I hve never used him, but I have a bunch of freinds that are on a pedal geek board I am on, that love his mods and I know he has done free repairs/update mods, so he seems like he is on the up and up to me...

i have a digitech bassdriver and i love the fuck out of it...

Keeley's good. You're getting what you pay for - he's not cheap, but he's absolutely worth it.

I have played his compressor, and I like the classic Ross unit more myself, but it's good for what it is. Actually, I like the the orange squeeze, the Anderton sustain, and the milkbox better.

But his mods are ace. Can't talk to his delay mods specifically, but he knows his shit.

The AD-9 is a very good analog delay. Limited in its applications, like most analog delays, but this one sounds good. It will give you the wash, slapback, spacey feel. I¨ve read good things about the Keeley mod for that pedal, but i´m not sure how necessary it is.
I have the AD99 which is a bit more obscure. I think it does the ´spaceship´ , infinite feedback weirdness a bit better than the AD9.
The one i think is the best though is the AD-80. It has some chip in it that is no longer produced so collectors have driven the price up. Expect to pay 200 dollars, used, but i think they are hands down the best analog delay pedal i´ve used/heard.

i had one for a bit. the echoes sounded great. the bummer was the audible high-frequency clock noise when it was engaged. that may be curable with some tweaking of the internal trimpots, but i didn't bother.
also, that ibanez switch irritates me, but that may be a personal preference.
