She's actually a real sweetheart. Her music is kind of annoying though.

Yep. When I was a teenager, Tanya and Magda were the "older chicks who lived upstairs" from some friends of mine. This was before the Smashing Pumpkins had formed.

While visiting those friends, we'd would sometimes go upstairs to party with Magda & Tanya. They were cool but sometimes it was really weird, going up there and seeing a bunch of people all drunk and tripping out on Robitussin. Tanya and Magda were really nice people though and I never felt that I was involved in anything dangerous. I remember once going to Jewel/Osco with them to get supplies for a party, and we all pitched in and bought like 4 of the big 12 oz. bottles of Osco-tussin (enough for like 12-15 people to get really messed up). Tanya told us that the cashier wouldn't sell that much to any one person, so we divvied up the money there in the cold meds aisle and then each brought one bottle up to the register. I'm sure they knew exactly what was going on, when 4 young punk rockers showed up in line together dressed like weirdos, each one purchasing a big, family economy-size bottle of cough syrup...

Later, at the party, I was bombed on the "Robo" when Tanya introduced Darcy as her younger sister. I don't think she was involved with the SPs yet at that time, but I do remember thinking she was kind of cute.
