Ackerman Family Benefit feat. Tight Phantomz and Tortoise

Hello to all,

In case you didn't already know, Tight Phantomz, Tortoise, and Disappears( new band featuring Brian Case from 90 Day Men/Pony's) will be playing a benefit show this Saturday July 12th at the Empty Bottle for the family of Craig Ackerman and Rebecca Gleason.

Craig and Rebecca have a daughter named Stella(one of the twins) that, after becoming severely anemic, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Doctors soon realized the diagnosis was incorrect. This would normally be great news but, due to a low hemoglobin level, she required blood transfusion after blood transfusion to retain stability. She has since had surgery and her hemoglobin level is stable.

That's some good news.

Come help show your support for a beautiful family who could use a hand in these tough times.

Thanks
TPz

"In a hundred, two hundred years' time, there'll be an ocean here and this submarine will seem like a brilliant idea!" So goes a lyric from the band STNNNG, a group that plays pounding rock and roll driven by madman rants and surreal storylines. They are currently at work on their third full-length, material that will likely be previewed here. Comedian BRETT ERICKSON, who schooled under MITCH HEDBURG and HOWIE MANDEL, will also do a brief stand up routine, mixing things up a bit. Ambient rock band MIRACLE CONDITION plays second and GAY BABY, having earned an honorable mention as one of The Onion's worst band names of 2007, opens.
