So I'm spending umpteen hours online, trying to find other bands to hook up shows with
Los Doggies. Every "Rock" and "Indy" band I click on is (I'm sorry to say this) a bunch of FAGGOTS trying to market a look and an attitude. Hey juicelip, how about spending more time on your songs then your hair and photoshoots! The "Rock" bands are going with a super-simple sound, no substance- just MGD commercial shit. The "Indy" bands are trying to act all sad and "thoughtful" but you know these fuckers can't be that depressed, not every last goddamn one of them. It's this gross lack of individuality that makes me want to give up playing bass, but the thought of that makes me want to hang myself. The few bands that are decent are also too enslaved by contracts or whatever to do a show with a new band, or they're pompous shitstains who manage to squeeze out some decent tunes. Either that or everyone's afraid to take any risks, stuck in imaginary competition, whatever, blah blah blah Bullshit!
This is why I don't like playing rock music, it has no real guts and the fans are settling for watered down recycled assjuice. The guitarists are living jockstraps full of wank. Rock bass players are lazy shits and so the trend is boring boring simple simple. Any douchebasket with a hairdo and bulimia can get a gig as long as he knows which way to point the singer's cock. Look at an issue of BassPlayer magazine and tell me I'm wrong- the only ones who have any groove are like 50+ and had their glory days back when we were fucking children.
I'm going to have to fucking play gospel music at this point if I ever want to earn a living.
Go fuck yourselves.
