Hm, I listen to this and all I hear is Burt Bacharach. And Burt Bacharach ruined the 70s. No need for Nixon or Don Henley. Burt could have done it all one his own.

I would take Nixon or Henley over Walker. Burt never existed in my life, thankfully.

(comment not meant to insult Nixon, Henley, Bacharach or Walker lovers/haters.)

Awesome! Thanks so much. Brotzmann is outstanding,

No doubt. Thanks so much...this lineup is star-studded, and I know I'll never be able to get ahold of the damn disc.

Anyone have 'Machine Gun' by any chance? I lost my CD some time ago...that was one of my favorite improv records to date.

I am sure that everyone knows about the Sonic Youth / I.C.P. / The Ex album as part of the In The Fishtank series...

I would post it, but it is very much in print and should be bought by anyone even slightly curious.

Instant Composer's Pool Orchestra. See http://www.icporchestra.com/

I just recently had the pleasure of seeing them in a very Kubrick-esque red room on the third floor of a library....one of the best shows of the year by far.

ICP was one of the most enjoyable, extatic, performences I've ever seen (up there with Zorn's Masada) Han Bennick, and Misha Mengelberg are truly insane. (Quit literally from some of the interviews I've read)

Bennick toured with The ex a few years back, and it blew my mind seeing him and Katrin "Drum" together, using everything on the stage.

Hey, Just added a ton of stuff to the Blog. Come check it out.

May I make two suggestions?

For one, I am offended by your lack of capitalization on the word 'metal' in your brief description of the site. You capitalize all the other genres?

For two, I have suggested this a couple times on this thread and reiterate it in regards to your blog: try DivShare. I find it much better than Sendspace.
- You can DL multiple files.
- You get better DL speeds.
- And they even give you some stats on the file on the DL page, like how many people have DL'd the file.

Of course, these are merely suggestions. I am not really offended by uncapitalized metal. In fact, I probably prefer it if I think about more. But I try to not think about metal too much anyway.
