My favorite moment of last night's game was Konerko's AB against "K-Rod" in the 9th. Konerko getting to 2-0, then having the pitching coach come out.

Konerko hung back passively in the box before the pitch came, tricking "K-Rod" into thinking he was going to take the pitch. He got the fastball he wanted and smoked it off the wall in right.

This series, she was not ugly!

Salut, Sox!
I have posted the following already on this forum, but I am going to post it again since it gave me so much joy.

The "fistpump" from BBRod to end the 8th inning, despite the fact that he walked one and gave up a hit that resulted in the go ahead run, confirmed the fact that he is a tool. I don't like to use the word tool very often to describe a person, but BBRod is a tool. The Oakleys, the spinning on the mound like he's Jim Bouton, the inappropriate dramatics - his whole being, his whole aura needed a shut the fuck up, and the White Sox delivered this shut the fuck up.

How four consecutive complete games is ugly is beyond me.

This is incredible.

"BBRod".

However, I think that "Frankie" is still even more insulting.

"Frankie" Rodriguez.

Wtf.

This part, wtf, she is beautiful. So great the balls of the Guillen. Hard rock balls.

The Blue to make chaos of two games in a row, this is the ugly part. Nobody knows how these games are to come out otherwise, and is great to say Calzini are to win, but is ugly part of it.

These Angeli di Angeli di Anaheim do not bring the fucking bats to the park, and become so easy to kill, for no bats.

I have listen the Warmowski recording of the sounds of Bridgeport, and is like particularly crazy game of Grand Theft Auto with no picture.

My favorite part is squeaky duck, although is also cool helicopter sound. Maybe squeaky duck can be mascot of Calzini Bianchi? Okay, no. Don't do it the squeaky duck.

Salut! Warmowski! Salut! Squeaky duck!

These four games, they are shocking to me.

CBGG! I cannot believe you! So hard rock! Maybe punk, like Ramones who never die! So legend!

Guillen's teeth, they are also shocking to me.

When the Phillies won in 1980 I was up banging pots and pans untill early in the morning. But then I was eleven. What it did do was make me a fan of the sport. And it was even easier when dad was coaching little league.

Enjoy!

Ah yes, I was 10 and my family had recently moved away from Philadelphia, so this series was a big influence on my budding baseball fan-dom. I have a clear memory of my dad yelling, "C'mon you fat-ass!" at the televised image of Greg Luzinsky huffing and puffing across the expanse of left field to retrieve a line drive. And Larry Bowa--kind of the Eckstein of his day, if I remember correctly.

That year, the "Superteams" competition was held at my neighborhood's high school, so I was thrilled to get Tug McGraw's autograph.

Speaking of fan-dom...

So many fair-weather fans.

I've never understood this charge when applied to sports. A fair-weather friend is someone who isn't there for you when things get rough. So how does this apply to fandom? The team doesn't need my "support," whatever that means. By the same token, being a "foul-weather fan" doesn't require any real sacrifice. I haven't made any real sacrifice by being a "foul-weather fan." I enjoy seeing plays, but don't see very many, because of the expense and also because I don't keep up with what's out there. If I go to a play because several friends have recommended it and it's gotten a lot of good reviews, am I a "fair-weather theater fan"? Isn't a team doing well kind of like a hit movie or play? Of course it's going to attract people who usually don't pay attention.

But congratulations Sox fans (all of you). This is exciting.

I hope Pinella doesn't do the series. I like Al Leiter better but no me gusta a smarmy Bob Costas.

congratulations to the white sox.
i'm not a fan, but there were some
great pitching performances that you
have to give it up for. all in all, i'm glad
the white sox won. considering my feelings
for socia, krod, ralleymonkey and their name,
chicago deserved to win.

i was travelling this last week and listened to
a few white sox games on xm. i've never
heard the sox announcers before and i'm glad
i'm now home and don't have to hear them
again.

again, congratulations white sox. your world series
games will bring a great boost to the chicago economy.

This is a good point.

I've always wondered how much money the Cubs cost the city in 2003.

I also wonder how much money the city lost when the White Sox went on the road and punched the Red Sox and Angels in the mouth, thereby avoiding return trips to Chicago in the ALDS and ALCS.

waltermalling, if you are not shutting up now, then I guess you'll never shut up. Thanks for being such a supreme dickweed.

The shit-eating team I root for pinned 3 losses on "Kry-Rod" this past year.

After 2 of them (and one last year), the TV cameras got a shot of him throwing his glove to the ground as hard as he could in the dugout. Just like a Little Leaguer.

Fuck off, "BBRod"!

Fuck off, "Frankie"!

Salut, Sox!
