Not Crap. My dad, of all people, was the one who introduced me to this band. He used to shoot videos of them in the old days at CBGB, and had all their records in his basement.

Did your dad shoot
this one? Cause if so, this is one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
In this video, Vega is one of the few frontmen who actually convinces me that he just may be out of his mind. There is a bit of theatricality to him which gives the game away a bit...but not much.

not crap, i love Suicide...fucking brilliant...no other band inspired as much hatred and violence as they did and Alan Vega would taunt the audience with a motorcycle chain...
i remember seeing a book that kinda' cataloged all of Vega's facial wounds from various show aftermaths...awesome...
not many people know that Vega was also The Ramones' merch guy and also designed their presidential seal logo for their t-shirts and stuff...
i have a lot of their albums and i'll agree with The Classical on American Supreme...so awful but good to listen to in a lot of places...most of their albums are good to decent...their cover of 96 Tears is so completely different...

they used a separate drum machine i think but damned if i can remember what it was...but i've wanted a farfisa ever since i learned what made that sound for Speed Queen...
and after hurricane Rita had hit here and everything was a shambles, Speed Queen was the perfect song to view all of the damage to...
imagine a row of telephone poles all tilted the same way at a ~45 degree angle down a very very long stretch of highway while the farfisa plays that carnival sounding music while plodding along at 45 mph...fucking amazing...
