I'm embarassed to say that not two months ago I bid 8 dollars for an unopened can of OK on Ebay. I never liked the stuff, but thought I'd give it another shot.

Reason #1 against "permanent" digital recording. Think of how the used gear market will be in 10 years. How long till "firewire" or "Mac G4" ends up on one of these threads next to Zip Disks and ADATs?
