Not by choice I tell you...

I can confirm... I finally met this infamous Joe Russo a few months back when I saw DefinitelyNOTtheSWEDE's (matt's) band Darling in Danbury, CT.

Anyway Russ will be able to confirm this in January after DefinitelyNOTtheSWEDE starts posting from a different IP.

He was a Billy Corgan fan.

The first half of Comets On Fire blew me away. It lagged some towards the end. Growing was very disappointing to me.

I have a beard.

And I despise Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins.

I’m not a Cubs fan, but if I was, I certainly wouldn’t ever call them The Cubbies.

this is kind of like when that Jazz singer guy turned out to be a woman, or something like that. It was on "A Current Affair" like 15 years ago.

My own experiment with being a character (the grotesque and semi-retarded Clortho) backfired wonderfully.

Nicely done, Walter

Wrong.

It's funny, Faiz and I were just having a conversation about this last night. About how neither of us hate Walter, and how both of us respect the grace with which the character was executed. It's been so clear for so long that it's a character. But I promise you, it's not me, nor do I have any idea who's actually behind it. My guess was Intern_8033. But I've been told that it isn't really a good guess, that it's not very likely him.

My question for the Walter then is this... do we know each other from real life, from when I lived in DC? Or is that living in DC part made up? I enjoy the fact that I have never, nor will I ever trust anything you say. :)

Cheers, guy behind the persona! You have always been my favorite EA troll because of your non-asshole nature. I hope you gained valuable insights from your experiement.

Oh, and Rog, if you or anyone else is interested and didn't catch it any of the times I've said it before... "i got this one" is my fake-persona. I act dumber than I can possibly imagine, and I hope somebody out there finds it as amusing as I do. Other than that, there's "toomanyhelicopters" and "scott", which are not characters but are more of very slight bastardizations of how I am in real life. Obviously the whole net aspect makes for some slightly different modes of interaction. But I've never spent the time inventing or acting out any character as intricate as Waltermalling.
