But ironyengine, is boring not the capital sin in musics?

And thus crap?

Not necessarily. Ravel's Bolero is a "boring" piece of music as well, but I would sooner remove my eardrums than call it "crap." Granted, DCFC is far closer to crap than anything Ravel did but you get my point. Or I hope you do.

Not really. But I'm guessing the point has something to do with you placing the word "boring" between apostrophes. Maybe you're thinking this piece is boring, but since Ravel wrote it it can't be crap? Or maybe you heared it too much, like everyone did, and it started to bore you?

"Boring", to me, it could be even higher on the crap-scale than "annoying".

but 'crap crap for crappy' has a nice ring to it

I wanted to go on record, such as it as, as saying that Death Cab for Cutie is a pretty good band.

The last few records, I have heard good things from them recently, on the internet radio. Pleasing things that I enjoyed hearing more than once. Enjoyable music that I enjoyed.

Not crap.

The only thing I know about this band is that my friend occasionally refers to them as Meth Lab for Cutie.

That's not crap.

Neither is naming your dog Kenny Doggins.

I've never knowingly listened to Death Cab for Cutie, but I refuse to believe that a band with such a name could be anything but the most distressing crap.

This band sounds exactly like The Weakerthans, and are just as boring, yet competant. Sonic Wallpaper.

Sorey.

But I say Not Crap.

I never understood why people called them a Built to Spill rip off. Their first few records, especially "We Have The Facts. . .", are so insanely indebted to Bedhead. "More Than Ever" from "Transaction de Novo" is pretty good archetype that Death Cab worked with a lot.

I enjoy their first two albums a lot, and liked "Plans" more than anything else they've done since "We Have the Facts and We're Fucking Huge."

In my experience, they are some pretty nice dudes.

Pretty much agree with Bradley R. Weissenberger. Some good stuff, some bad.

Hit or miss.

Not crap.

this band is egg-ass bad, like college rock's answer to christian rock.

8th rate analogue dreck.
