I don't think it works very well as a serial, a lot of the time. The amount of questions that get 'answered' as opposed to the other pile (marked 'more questions') that just gets added to is very frustrating, especially waiting a week or more between shows.

On another topic: Is it just me or are some of the 'special' effects absolutely pants? The Smoke thing in a few episodes looked like an Infant school MSPaint contest 'merit' award winner.

I'm tiring of all the mystery. The break in the middle of the season pissed me off in principle and because it meant I had to wait for the resolve. It was an artificial cliffhanger. Yet, I can't stop watching.

Since the ending of the second season, i discovered Battlestar Galactica, and then, Heroes debuted. These two shows make Season 3 of Lost look like Season 9 of Roseanne.

OK, that's hyperbole. This week's episode with the Locke flashbacks was pretty good. But i missed last week's episode and can't be bothered to download it to catch up. That speaks volumes to me of how little i care about this show and the characters now.

I'm still following it out of curiosity, but overall, Lost is quickly sliding into CRAP territory. I hope they rebound.

I liked this little bout of episodes better than the last cluster. The bunch that happened near the end of last year (was that when it was?) was all torture and drudgery. Now they're getting back into more interesting theories and sciency stuff. Last night's episode was enjoyable, though I'm not sure I buy it that Locke would be so selfish as to blow up the sub. Maybe he's trying to encourage a mutiny against Ben?

I thought it was because he knows if he ever leaves the island, he'll be helpless again, and he doesn't want to be that way ever again.

The whole season's been full of questionable character direction. Why did Locke blow up the station where they found eyepatch guy? Because of the satellite dish that didn't work anymore? Was there any reason for killing off Ecko? Why should we care that Hurley wanted to get a VW bus running? Guh, i dunno.

No one's gonna force him to leave, though, right? That's what i don't get. Ben's theory was that he wanted to make sure his father could never reach him on the island, but we know how that turned out...

This is the best show on TV in a really long time.

It's really the only show I've watched every week since Seinfeld so maybe I'm missing some good shows but fuck, Lost rules.

Last night's episode was the best of the season so far. The next three are gonna rule and then the season finale is gonna really piss me off.
