I wonder if for some unseen circumstances, all the bands can't play, would anybody still come forward & donate ??

truth is most of the people who donate and go to the event are interested in improv-- they are not actually there to see the bands-- most do not even know who any of the bands/performers are that participate. they are an awesome audience for the bands as they are almost "rooting" for them to be good. many have no idea that the performers are "well-known" to some. i hope that more music fans go this year. it is an interesting environment to see the bands play.

i guess you might be surprised to see how many people are excited to donate actual cash without a personal return. we collect money from the audience at second city every night from thanksgiving through christmas. people are quite generous.

the best part of it to me is that each "performance" is a one time event. we do not tape the event at all. so no dvd-- just a memory.

Thanks Heather.
I guess I'll stay this far.

Do you think that the fans attending those shows would be as dumb & stupid as some members on this forum ?? ;)

I know it's a lame question, but what do you think ??

i am certain i should have been kerbled way before now (AMAZING thread)-- although i am appreciative that i was kerbled by mark. i am pretty certain you couldn't find a person in the entire city of chicago that could say something bad about mark. in fact i think i should start a thread of phenomenal mark greenberg stories. i have some good ones myself.
thus...
my point...
if i can't even figure out a way not to repeat stuff on this board i guess i have shown my ass a bit and truth is i don't know anything about the people on the board, unless they are people i know in real life. why would there be so many dumb & stupid people on this message board? are there really that many? i figure some people just say stupid things, but are not actually dumb...

Yeah....some people say stupid thing like my mum's name is Bitchslut so I called that person's mum a whore ! :)

I like it where I live now, far far away.
I could even send you a postcard.
I'm really an outsider on this forum so what ?
Some people on here think so.
You don't like somebody you leave that person alone.

I love Albini's work on some albums.
But the way I enjoy those albums would never be the same like all these people who could attend gigs over there.
Music is music.
