wait a second, so, does a booty call necessarily have to be ex sex? i'm confused. i thought it just meant hooking up with the clear intent to get it on -- like, a booty call might not even have to be with someone you've already slept with, it's just that the expecations, on both sides, are fairly clear: you're getting together to have sexual intercourse.

I think this is correct.

It happens as often as not with exes, but that is not necessary.

Well it just seems like maybe you are the desperate one if you make the call, or maybe it's kind of sad that you're sitting at home alone, still up at 2am to receive a call. Obviously I would not be good at this so nevermind.
