I think the last time I took a bath was about eight years ago. I had just finished smoking a decent amount of quality pot. I thought, "Hmmm, I bet it would be really cool to take a nice warm bath and just chill out." After drawing a hot tub of water, I got in. About eight minutes later I realized that my once warm tub of water was quickly becoming a chilly pool of filth. I also realized that bath tubs are apparently not made to accomodate 6' 2" people. It was not as cool as I had hoped and I have not taken one since.

I'm a short fat guy... water displacment is a problem.

So baths are dumb.

Baths are excellent.

But they are not equivalent to showers. You must take a rinso guy after the bath. Or you are gross.

I'm not down with the bath bomb. I got a huge box of Lush stuff as a present once and thought it was a trick to make me clean the bathtub more. Those bombs leaves a pastel grime film behind that must be dealt immediately.

I roll with Mr. Bubble or Demeter Tomato oil.

Bath/3x week, shower 5x. Never in the morning except Sundays, which is when I can be counted on to fail at keeping the corners of my Sunday Times out of the bath water.

Bathing is good, but you can't do it everyday. It's good when you have time, when you want to relax. It's good with nice bubbly soap and some oil but none of these horrible chemical things. It's good with music on. It's good when you're ill as well because it kills some of the bacteria like the fever would do, except without making you feel like crap.

For the rest, shower at least once a day. Otherwise I feel all dirty and slimy, which I hate.

When I had TB I had to wait an hour after taking my morning medication before I could eat. I couldn't go to work without having breakfast (well, I could but I felt horrible) so I'd get up very early, and as our shower was fucked, I'd have a long luxurious bath every morning. I recommend it - you go to work feeling like a god. With TB.

When I was single I didn't mind going for a few days without washing, but I shower every day now. Most of the time.

Baths are not crap.

I throw in about 4-5 cups of plain old Epsom salts and it's so nice. My girlfriend and I have watched tv from the tub at times. She claims to have eaten dinner in the tub but I don't want to believe that's true as I have seen Gummo.
