As was The Whip. But I still like Big Business. Haven't heard the new record yet.
Ah, yes...The Whip...she was to be great. Too bad.
Karp was good. Really good. But there's just something about the dynamic that Jared and Coady have now that Karp can't compete with. Especially live.
In other exciting news...they're teaming up with one of my favorite guys (gUys...with a U) Sir David Scott Stone, as well as Andy Coronado (Wrangler Brutes), to form a "hardcore" band. Can't fucking wait to hear that.

Oh man, that is going to be AMAZING. Andy Coronado is great.
On second thought, I best not get my hopes up too far, so as to not be disappointed when this beast starts touring. But yeah, that sounds great!

Stone is all over the latest Big Business record, part of the reason I think it excels... the other extra-BB reasons being Phil Ek and Stuart Hallerman.
There's a lot of atmosphere on the new record that's never existed on a Jared-related recording before.

Yeah tell me about it. I giggled like a school girl when I heard that. Amazing.

Just saw B.B. on Sunday 3/11/07 down in PHX.
confirm: Bass player has his big-assed fro back.
Had to sit through some real crap bands but the payoff was B.B. rocking out. Man, do they deliver live.
Their drummer is really, really, really good.
That 4th song on "waterworks" rules. I can't stop listening to it.
I'm hoping to get them in my town next time they're out.
