I don't want to get on any high horse about such a dimboil but would someone explain to me why this Anne Nicole is the focus of such venom around here?

I mean other than her being female and rich for doing nothing.

I mean is that really worthy of such hate?

I can proudly say I have not looked into her life so maybe there is some child killing in her past or something.... do enlighten me.

I wasn't even aware of her existence until this morning. Although now I guess she doesn't 'exist', so really I missed her existence.

How is it that somebody I was completely oblivious to can inspire so much hatred in so many people? Where should I have been looking?

It's not like I consciously avoided her or anything, I am living proof that she didn't foist herself on the unwilling!

Just got this on wikipedia about howard k stern. Obviously kerble or some dude like him has cocked his leg on it:

I also find it strange how Howard K. Stern was in the room when both of them died.

People seem to develop stronger feelings for those they see on television or in the news than those they see on a daily basis. I tink it's part of the detatchment disorder prevalent in these times, where at worst we care less about a bum on the street than an actor in a soap, or we hate a reality show character more than a real live enemy. They may be artificial emotions but they play themselves out as real. Some folks forget that everything in the media is potentially illusory and that real judgements can not be made through the fourth wall. The possible exceptions to this are the politicians who actually have an effect on our lives; the celebrities do not hold any meaning to us unless we ascribe it to them, which is ultimately a delusion.

We should be thanking Anna. She's one of those public figures that everyone jumps on so they can obtain a feeling of superiority.
