three amps... never been able to decide which one's my favourite

traynor YBA-4 (50 watt 2xEL34 with 1x15 speaker)
musicman hd150 (100 watt with 2x12 speaker, reverb, and phaser, solid state preamp and 4xEL34 power tubes)
traynor ts-25B (solid state, 25 watts)

no one of them can substitute for the others in any way

I have a WEM Dominator Bass which I found next to a bin:

It's quite cool, but too loud for my bedroom. May considerbuying my mate's Laney LC15 instead.

We've got an OK collection going right now...

Guitar:
Sunn Beta Lead (several of these including the very rare PL-20)
Marshall JCM800 2203 (Interestingly enough, used on GWAR's 'This Toilet Earth' and 'RagNaRok' albums)
Marshall JCM900
Peavey Butcher
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier
Fender Champ
Yamaha YTA-45
...and a couple of others.

Bass:
Sunn Beta Bass (including the very rare PB-10)
Acoustic 470
Traynor TS-50B
...and very soon an Ampeg SVT.

I actually really liked the Baldwin Professional 2x12 that I played through one time. Neil Young plays(ed) through a Baldwin too.

'63 Fender Tremolux > Fender 4x12 (Jensen Loaded)
'68 Fender Bandmaster > Hiwatt 4x12 (JBL Loaded)
Peavey Classic 2x12 Combo (JBL Loaded)
Hiwatt DR505 > Fender 4x12 (Jensen Loaded)

Not all at once, the Peavey is a shockingly shit sounding amp but compliments the Fender and Hiwatt perfectly

I thought this thread said "Where is your amp?" Which would be cool, to see the ratio of people who leave their amp at a practice space or bring it home.

Fly, I paid 400 bucks for the V4b ten years ago. The tubes were original but sounded fine. I sold it to some hippy who still hasn't changed the tubes and won't sell it back to me. Fuck him. I saw another one on ebay recently that had new tubes with a recap for $600 , but poverty got the best of me. I know it's probably a Kerble, but have you tried out any Acoustic heads ?
