Holy hell, its a race to see who can collapse quicker. What the hell happened last night, I was watching the Cards/Brewers game on that Gameday thing and I don't think it fully conveyed what happened. Another Millwaukee meltdown?

Right now the Cubs are down 3 in the fifth.

The Mets swept by the Nationals? Arizona loses two to the Piratres? What the hell is happening in the NL? Its Chaos.

Fibonacci sequences have been known to man for over 2500 years and no doubt millions of people have written about them over the course of human history.

Why would you associate them with Dan Brown in particular?

Holy hell, its a race to see who can collapse quicker.

This Padres-Brewers series is interesting because its almost like a cagematch where two teams go in and only one comes out alive. Earlier there was a shred of hope for Millwaukee sweeping San Diego and with the Cubs going up against Arroyo and Harang theres a real chance that the Reds could take two at least. But lo and behold their pen blows it again.

And whats with this Yost guy making the decision to bean Pujols? Was that the most bizarrely immature thing to do when you're behind in a tight pennant race?

2.

Bradley R. Weissenberger wrote:The magic number is actually fifteen.

Fifteen is the stunning number of games in which the 2007 Milwaukee Brewers have relinquished leads of three or more runs. There have been some absolutely spectacular flameouts by the Brewers this year, and they have all been excruciatingly painful.

And Saturday's debacle against Atlanta was no treat.

Absent a spectacular and stirring resurrection in the final week of the season, something for which I am hoping against all reasonable hope at this point so that Cubs fans might suffer yet another indignity, the Brewers will gift the 2007 NL Central title to the Chicago Cubs.

Wrong0.

It's 81.

The number of games the Brewers have to play on the road. Where they finished 32-49. The schedule led to them having more home games than road games in the first half, allowing them to conceal this travelling sickness within their record. Perhaps next year they'll come close to a .500 record on the road and win the division. Then again, they haven't had a record above .500 overall since 92....
