This Mets/Phillies thing is providing a nice bit of drama at the close of the regular. Like two overweight drag queens fighting over the last pair of silver pumps in the wardrobe.

Hey Mets fans,

Don't be surprised when the mets win the division championship tomorrow afternoon.

I'm from philly what do you expect? can't take this disappointment anymore. I still remember the cold october night in 1993 walking home from the bar after the wild thing gave up that home run. just not in the cards for us.

I did an odd thing Friday night and listened to a few hours of Philidelphia sports radio after you guys had tied the Mets. Every caller was positive and enthusiastic about the win but there was an undeniable sense of desperation in all their voices, especially when they'd go on and on about how long they've been 'waiting for this'. And at least for a moment it seemed not so bad to be a Cubs fan. So, tomorrow I'm saying Go Phillies! Because it seems like you guys need it.
