I lost my cat, Frida, of 15 years in April. After feeling sorry and sad for a few weeks, I went to the local animal shelter and picked up Hugo. He's the big orange tabby. Cutest motherfucker ever. First thing he did when he came in my house was take a nap in the sink! A few weeks later after realizing Hugo might want a friend, I picked up Watt, a 2 month old dumpster Siamese Snowshoe mix. They both rule.
It's really great to see how new cats behave. I was so used to Frida's behavior up until she died- the first few weeks with both of the new guys were very interesting and entertaining.
If you can handle it, I recommend getting another Cat. Or two.
