Oh, because I'm Australian.

Just trying to pick something universal. Football then? Pick your poison. The point remains.

Smoking is so fucking stupid. As of tomorrow you won't be able to smoke in bars and clubs in Adelaide. I am so fucking happy about this, I'm sick of going to shows or even out drinking and having to put up with inconsiderate morons who think that it's their fucking right to make everyone else around them smoke.

And I know the irony of me drinking alcohol and bitching about smoking, but hey, I don't sit there and spit beer into your eyes, clothes and hair all night, do I?

Not Crap

You sound like you need to calm down, why not have a smoke?

Also, you'll get to smell the REAL smell of what clubs smell like. Which is, without exception in my experience, hideous.

This ban has been in place in Scotland since March last year. I still have no idea why there can't just be smoking and non-smoking bars/clubs.

I've smelt the REAL smell of clubs. And yes, it's gross. And smoking / no-smoking it doesn't make sense. I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure smoke drifts from room to room. Unless of course you're asking for completely different venues to be smoking and non-smoking, which wouldn't work.

Yeah, but then a nonsmoker couldn't go wherever they want and be happy.

Now that's just stupid.

So basically, I'm some uptight person because I don't like breathing in other peoples foul smelling cigarette smoke (which is terrible for me) at places where I've paid to get into see bands?

And I like the "you seem uptight, go have a smoke comment". Witty as shit.

I don't play sport. Or watch it.

Why is it your problem what your coworkers do? 15 minutes is nothing.

Do you smoke weed?

Honestly, I'd rather have smoke billow into a club than be talking to someone with rank beer on their breath.

Nope. Because you expect others to conform to your standards. And when they do, you still have the nerve to shit on them because there is a tiny slice of their life where they enjoy their habit that is on the margins of your life that you have to smell sometimes.

Here's for run on sentences.

Done.

Cause if I went outside for 15 minutes every hour, I'd be spoken to about wasting time.

And no, I don't smoke weed. Or crack. Or ice. Or pole.

I just hate going home stinking of cigarettes.

Not really much about the smelling, more so the fact that I'm forced to inhale your smoke purely by breathing.

In saying all of this, I don't give a fuck what you people do with your lives. I just think it's so silly that you people are so pro-smoking when you all know how bad it is for you.

I've put about $4.00 of "my two cents" in to this argument. I'm over it.

It's an addiction, man. Do you go around chastising junkies about their habit?

Non smokers have their way almost everywhere. What else do they need? Next I'll hear smoking is banned while walking on the sidewalk.

Oh, that's coming.

I believe a town in California has banned it in certain private residences

It is in Tokyo. Which is funny, cause they have smoking sections in McDonalds.

As for the junkies, I don't know, I have deal with them on a daily basis, but I don't usually speak to them about their addiction.

But in saying that, not many junkies post on the EA forum that I know of.
