not funny at all man, maybe next time

yeah, I know. I read it this morning and just cracked up at the lameness of it. This wasn't the first time. As usual, I blame it on the tsingtao.

Menudomania didn't touch our hearts up here as much as say, 60's- derived 90's grunge did. I didn't consider the possibility of a menudo fan on the prf. I apologize. No offense was intended in that previous post. The first part of the documentary showed them as just regular cholos from the barrio. That counts for alot in my book.

So to sum it up:

Menudo Fans from argentina: Fiercely loyal and good.

BBGS: Good band, Good name. Good songs. Good singer.

I'm being Good: Ask yourself if you would wear this name on the back of your jacket. Three words away from "I'm being good ma, I promise" youtube clips looked good.

Kerble: Good man. Got the heads up on a really good mooger from him.

Polvo: My old band was compared to them in some 'zine. Bought their cds but still haven't heard 'em. My band stood around like showroom dummies. We were good.

C-NC: I m Being Good.

You know, not that I think Kerble is in any way guilty of this or that I even dislike Polvo, but I can totally get with Marsupialized and JGP's rancor here for this reason:
All the indie rock assholes I know who are super proprietary about THEIR favorite bands and THEIR musical erudition because it's what makes them SO super special creams themselves over Polvo.
It's hard not to fault the band for all the shmucks that consider liking them a badge of their specialness.

So, in other words not very important at all

Whereas I'm sure being Chicago's leading baggy band is very, very important indeed

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

Also, please note 2 things: the band name which caused so much disruption, was chosen when the band members were 16 at a time when most of you were in junior school, or sorry elementary school or whatever the fuck you folks call it.
And secondly, I don't see any members of I'm Being Good hi-jacking threads about other bands to drivel on about how ace their own band is. Most distasteful.

They used to disrupt talk shows when they were the junior members of this distasteful band. They've calmed down a bit since then. Lets take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWRKlNlRsgI

I almost choked on a crumpet when I first saw this one. Most distasteful: : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LFIFwq5mCI
