Thunderdome: Polvo reunion vs. My Bloody Valentine reunion

If every band was AC/DC it'd get pretty old pretty quickly because life hands you complex and different situations which require a broader range of emotions.

I see, I'm just not emotionally mature enough to enjoy the boring indie rockers playing boring indie rock, gotcha

Would you complain that a band like Portishead wasn't leaping about when playing live? My guess is you wouldn't because it's just not for that kind of mood. It's for a specific kind of atmosphere.

And then the tailor said, “Behold the most genius band all! But lo! Only ye of the subtlest, most evolved sensibilities will discern their greatness.”

And at this the crowd was abuzz, each man trying to outdo the other in testifying to the band’s talent. Although, in truth, they all were bored out of their fucking minds.

Moral: Sometimes subtle is too fucking subtle. Especially live. Unfortunately, I suspect many Polvo partisans are suckers for the emperor’s new band.

There are tons and tons of quiet bands who are great, there are tons of bands I love who who don't jump around. I never said anyone has to jump around. Polvo's songs are fucking boring, they don't go anywhere, I hate the way they are put together, they are not interesting and not very good, that's all....if they lit themselves on fire while playing them they'd still be fucking boring.
