It's not the best choice of material, but he does the flutter-picked pinch harmonics here which is why I posted it.

Not really, to me at least, but it's sort of splitting hairs.

Travis picking has a consistant bass pattern going on with the melody getting picked in the upper registers- Cannonball Rag, Lost John, Peanut Vendor, etc.

Chicken picking is less about the bass pattern. Danny Gatton, Will Ray, Albert Lee type stuff. Definitely a grey area between the two, I think.

For the most part I just plug straight in (that is, when I'm not playing a modified guitar).

I use any and every method I can to get a sound from a string.

Buchanan could pinch a loaf on his guitar and it would still sound effing great, I love his tone...so clean. While this may not be the best version, and i am a bit tired of this song as well, i would wager it is better then when hendrix plays it...(runs and hides)
