Fucked me up as a teen:

"Hamburger Lady" - Throbbing Gristle
Anything off of "Lie" by Charles Manson
Venom
"The Wizard" - Sabbath
"Force the Hand of Chance" - Psychic TV
Monte Cazazza
SPK - "Information Overload"

The only songs that still give me chills is "Total War" by Boyd Rice as well as the "Death's Gladsome Wedding - Hymns And Marches From Transylvania's Notorious Legionari Movement"

That's some creepy shit right there. I played that and Anton LeVay's "Satan Takes a Holiday" last Halloween. Amazing how uneasy it made the parents and how the kids didn't even really notice it.

Mandroid2.0 wrote:It's totally a cliche, since it's been used for so many horror movies, but O Fortuna from Orff's Carmina Burana. That song scares the shit out of me, even as an adult. I'm pretty sure that song constantly plays in Hell.

i could see how that song'd be scary, but at this point, after being used in every ad, joke, spoof, ice-cube-rising-out-of-a-coffin-on-stage moment, and just generally being beaten to death in every context, i'd think it'd wear off.

i'm glad to see that a lot of old school industrial is still scaring the shit out of people...i listen to this stuff daily so the effect is gone...it never really scared me per se anyways...but i do appreciate the harshness and different train of thought...

1) Be found hoarding 80 animals in your home.

I'm 6/80ths the way to #1.

huh, i think the song "black sabbath" is supposed to be the scary one and "the wizard" is supposed to cheer you up with reassuring lyrics of do-gooder wizardry.

Misty morning, clouds in the sky
Without warning, the wizard walks by
Casting his shadow, weaving his spell
Funny clothes, tinkling bell

Evil power disappears
Demons worry when the wizard is near
He turns tears into joy
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by

he turns tears into joy, dude! everyone's happy!

I really do need to stop huffing paint. You're right of course. I meant "Black Sabbath".

When I was in 8th grade, somebody gave me a copy of Skinny Puppy's Last Rights. I remember being creeped the fuck out. Never gave it another listen.

Jandek's "acapella" (that just doesn't seem like a fitting term) albums make me uneasy to say the least.

I would not like to be alone in the dark and have to hear an Oxbow record.
**Do we need the other Chemical Bros. records??
