The best thing about getting older is that it beats the alternative, hands down.

The girlfriend of one of my ex-bandmates shot and killed herself over the weekend.

23 years old.

I am going to play the old man card here and say:

at 23, my life hadn't even begun yet. Everything I thought I knew was a bunch of half-misunderstood information filtered through my own egoism and desire to get laid as often and as ruthlessly as possible.

I like being the age I am. I have learned a few things. I seem to have the money thing sorted, too at least for now .

I like learning new things all the time.....useful things, like how to fix stuff, tricks of the trade, etc. The day I realized that my dad can build or repair almost anything that he'd ever need simply because of his age and experience was the day I started to like growing older.
