Where's Vancouver? Oh yeah - same place they've been for the last 3 years, hiding behind Luongo.

Luongo has only played for the Canucks for two years.

So what's their excuse for before that, then?

Vancouver's biggest mistake was getting rid of Brian Burke and relying on swedes.

That's 2 mistakes. And the Swedes have worked out just fine for Detroit, so I'm thinking there's gotta be something else wrong.

Bring 'em on.

I gotta agree, but I also think montreal is going to easily handle my philadelphia flyers...so you know, I'm objective.

I'm liking that the East is down to two Original Six teams and two teams from the '67 expansion (even if the Rangers and Flyers are included), and no team that fucking moved in the last 15 years either. It'll be like 1991 again. Maybe it'll also be like 1991 in that the Pens will meet Mike Modano in the Finals.

you have to wonder how that series (rangers v. pens) will be called. I'm sure that Avery will be watched carefully, while crosby gets coddled. Good thing the league didn't coddle ovechkin, or the flyers would be setting up tee times a few days ago.

nothing but respect for ovechkin. Although he didn't have a great series, he did score some key goals and was a dominating physical presence in every game. I would've loved to see him run over crosby.

Hell, even as a passive sports fan and know shit-all about what teams are good, I will pay a small bit of attention when San Jose is doing well in the playoffs.

So, uhh, yeah. Go Sharks? Go Sharks!

Game 7 is tied up at the moment with one apiece in the first period. Gah!

Turn on the television right now! This has been a great series to watch, even if the Flames wind up winning it all.

What the fuck happened in the second period?! I heard the sharks tie it up for 2, then I turn around and they scored 3 more! I might have not been paying attention to the game, but that's no reason for the flames to do the same!
Don't get chumpatized!

Typical Ranger fan logic. Love the dirty motherfucker, hate on a guy who will stand up for himself when people fuck with him. Perfect.

This is patently false. The West has, like, two good teams. The Northeast and Atlantic Divisions were the strongest Divisions in hockey this year. Not only that, but when was the last time the West won 2 in a row? Last year was Anaheim, '06 was Carolina, '04 was Tampa, '03 Devils. '01 and '02 were Western teams. So where's this "West is the best" trend?
What are the queers doing to the soil?
