Right now, I've gotta say Maya Rudolph.

I think she's done some great characters. Not always hilariously funny--in fact, sometimes poignant--but realistic and smart. And some funny ones (Donatella Versace). I think she's cool.

What about the guy that does Weekend Update? Who's unfunnier than him in the current cast?

Y'know...She's just not ever funny. That's not exactly saying she isn't talented, she'd probably be an okay dramatic actor.

In fact, there have been talented people who- for some reason that I'm sure involves sucking wang in some boardroom- have sucked on SNL.

Anthony Micheal Hall- a pretty underrated character actor, I think, who could stand to be rediscovered by some indie director who's into reviving careers...sucked ass on SNL.

Robert Downey Jr- great and talented actor...completely sucked shit on SNL

Chris Elliot- Funny on Letterman. Get A Life, unfortunately, has not dated well at all...but it was pretty ahead of it's time during its brief time on Fox but Chris Elliott...absolutely eye-rollingly, groan inducingly pointless on SNL.

Also...I can say this, Maya Rudolph...kinda sexy, sure. I'd do her if it wouldn't entail laughing at her attempts at humor...

I mean...I think I'm funnier than Maya Rudolph. Then again, I think I'm pretty damn funny. Granted, maybe I'm just amusing myself and...oh, who am I kidding with this false modesty? I'm a funny motherfucker. I'd probably be even funnier if I wasn't so goddamn good looking...but fuck I'm funny.
You call me a hater like that's a bad thing

First of all, Colin Quinn probably deserves his own thread to be thrashed in. He's by far the worst cast member EVER on Saturday Night Live. And I realize that Jim Bruer, Chris Kataan and Rob Schnieder were cast members. Who's cock did Colin Quinn suck to ever get to do anything? I don't get it. When was he ever worthwhile in anything? Remote Control? No. Any stand up comedy routines? No. The political crap on Comedy Central. No. SNL? No. Why does this guy work at all? What producers think he's funny? I don't get it. Does the Irish mob just force the EPs to get him work like that retarded boxer in the movie Death to Smoochie?

Whatever that retarded boxer's name is should be Colin Quinn's universal nickname.

This being said, I actually like the current SNL. Seth Myers, who someone referred to earlier as the new news guy, is the head writer, and I think he's doing a good job heading a staff that knows whats been wrong with the writing in the last decade, but still trying to be earnest and keep the tradition of the dried-out, aging art of saturday night live sketch comedy. It has to be a difficult balance, especially when the cast hasn't been even close to your Belushi's, Murphy's, Murray's, and Farley's. I do like Jason Sudekis, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, and Andy Samberg, but there's nobody that I would consider special.

Yes, watching two unfunny assholes in an unfunny comedy skit pretend to break character and giggle to draw attention away from the scene and the other actors and onto themselves. Every single time they are on camera.
That's some real good shit.
Like watching some fucked up drag queen stomping up and down the aisles of the train screaming 'Look at me! Look at me!'

It's like, Jesus, you are already on TV how much attention does one human being need? Aren't you afiard of everyone else who has to work with you hating you?

I think the worst season ever on Saturday Night Live that I've ever seen is the '85-'86 season, when they had Hall, Downey, Randy Quaid, Joan Cusack, etc. I like all of them on lots of other stuff they've done, but I think you can pick almost anyone who were on the show then and make a good argument.
