Good things about Nottingham:

Worth a tourist visit? For a day or two, definitely. Not really for the sightseeing though, more just to soak up a few nice pubs/restaurants/parks/etc.

The beatles are pretty good. they are from liverpool. You should check them out sometime.

I second the Windmill in Brixton - it's good. I'll be playing the Luminaire in Kilburn soon and I'm told it's one of the best places in London to play. Worth a visit I'd say.

Brighton's not far from London and has good bands. I'd recommend listening to/contacting I'm Being Good. I think they'd be right up your street: http://www.imbeinggood.com/
