i've got a list of albums that i'd like to inflict this on in about ten years after everybody's fotgotten about petra haden and the dirty projectors. i've also thought that it would be funny to do an artist like girl talk with re-recordings of the original samples. play all of the parts myself, sing all of the bits. maybe someday when i don't already have a bajillion and twelve other projects...

At one of our shows, we covered the 4-song EP of the band we were opening for. That was fun.

I voted "Crap", though I have no real problem with a band doing this kind of thing live. When it comes to releasing a full length album entirely consisting of someone else's music though, what's the point? Why not just listen to the original album? It's almost always 100 times more inspired.

this is true, but (most of) Kill The Musicians and the first Riverdales LP are really good fun.
