How long did it take for you to get you guitar?I don't remember exactly off the top of my head, but I would guess it as about 6 months from the time we talked about what I'd like until the time I got it, and then maybe a couple months after that, I sent it back to him to have the body painted (I supplied the body, and at that time he didn't have the painting thing all worked out - this was 3 years ago) and put an EGC pickup in it (I don't think he was making his own yet, when I first had it made) and that took another couple/few months, mostly because of delays due to the guy who did the painting of the body. Guy did a great job, but took a long time.I'm assuming the new one will take at least a couple/few months. We've talked about the plan probably a month ago, and just locked down the final details in the past couple weeks. I'm hoping for it to be done early next year, HOPING for January but I know that's really quite doubtful. Kevin's only one guy, and can only work like 14 hours a day or whatever insane amount of time it is that he puts in.Maybe I'll have mine by March, realistically? Looking forward to it.

It seems I didn't know what it actually was...I still want to use it, because the esteemed alex maiolo told me that Andy Gill's custom Strat had one of those. Basically, I want the Andy Gill Strat.

As for the Ampeg, it's the 2 channel, 2-12" model. I believe it's 50 watts and has 6L6's. I bought it new about 10 years ago I guess. It's really my wife's, but I got her a new Reverend amp this year. This amp has really nice clean sounds. I was thinking I was not gonna sell it, but it's getting to the point where we just have too much shit piled up at my house. The only bad thing about the amp is that the grill cloth has been used as a scratching post by our 2 cats. One of them is dead now, so the ruffed up grill is all we have to remember her by. Oh, I have the original foot switch for it too. One button switches channels and the other is reverb on/off. I would sell it to you for $250 if you think that's fair. It was on Craigslist but didn't get much interest http://austin.craigslist.org/msg/930860157.html Let me know and it's yours. I'd just have to find a big box.

Man, I just got mine but I must say I am very impressed so far. I can't imagine a real Matchless being built better than this. And the sound. Oh, the clean chiming tone.Earlier this year I bought one of the new Vox ac30 heads from Guitar Center. The China made head. I think it was $800. I took it back after a couple weeks. Just didn't do it for me, plus I just don't like the layout of the controls. Fortunately they have that 30 day return policy at Bro Center, I got my money back no questions asked. It takes 4 weeks to get a Ceriatone built, but if you order one by the end of this month, the Matchless dc30 clone is on sale for I think $685. That's about $200 off. It would be about $200 to ship it from Maylasia. There is a Spitfire clone on the Bay right now. That's the 15 watt version. I played mine half the night the other night at practice before I realized mine was switched to half power. The Spitfire will probably scream.http://cgi.ebay.com/Ceriatone-Spitfire- ... 1|294%3A50

As for myself and this thread, for the first time in a while, I am not in a state of gear lust. I wanted an aluminum neck guitar after not having one for about 12 years and I got one last month. It's a Kramer 250G. Yeah, it's not a Bean or an EGC, but I got a kid in kindergarten. I'm happy with the Kramer. I also just got my new amp, it's a clone of the Matchless dc30 head. It fucking smokes. I can't believe how loud and clean it is. Practiced with it with the band for the first time last night. We practice really loud, and it was hard to get the amp past about 2. I wanted an amp like this for a long time, so *sniff* this is a very special time for me right now.I do want a new speaker cabinet for my wife though. I want to get her a 1X12 Bogner cab for xmas. She'd better be nice until then.

Yeah. I want a Reverberocket. I have to stop buying guitars though......email me. I'm interested. I'm trying to not buy so many fucking guitars. We can arrange to have the grill cloth removed so you can keep it. Maybe stretch it across a frame. ...and if someone has a thinline tele they want to sell, my fiance is learning to play and I'm buying one for her.The Devil Bass is 4000.00 and the wait list is over two years. Bruce is going to do some work on my Custom Scroll Bass - I'm very excited about it. I'm none too eager to drop 4 grand on a bass that I can't play immediately (esp in this resession). The EGC has to come after the Scroll Bass project......if I can manage to stop buying all these wonderful cheapo guitars or rescuing all these wonderful kitties.[what happened to the spellcheck?]

What I'd like to have the most isn't gear per se, I need a new place to play and record in. My current place is a small 81sqft basement and there isn't enough space there. I'd also like a pair of SDC's, I've never had any and would like to get a pair. I still haven't decided which ones I want to get, but I'm getting there.I also want a Jazzmaster, I'll probably never get a vintage one, I'll be too afraid to even play. I want to get Jazzmaster parts from Warmoth and seal the deal, I don't know enough people who built a guitar with parts from Warmoth, so I don't have an opinion on them.2207, the Musicmans are really bright, at least for me, always sound too thin to me. My all time favorite bass is Precision Bass. A Travis Bean would probably be nice too, never played one.
