Anything after Green Mind is not really worth your time.
not crap.
edit: Oh, and to anyone who is thinking of picking up the reissue of YLAOM, you may want to reconsider. Though The sound has probably been cleaned up considerably it is missing the original final song, which was their cover of Show Me the Way. They replaced the original cover with cover of the Cure's Just Like Heaven which, in my opinion, isn't as good, and can be found on Fossils. Show Me The Way can also be found on Fossils, but it fits much better with the material on YLAOM.
"Show Me the Way" wasn't on the original pressing either. It was a single that was later appended, as was "Just Like Heaven."
I've gotta say that, despite my reservations about Mr. Mascis and his music, both of these songs (ditto for "Quicksand") are excellent cover choices.
Sorry about the misinformation, the earliest point of refrence I have regarding YLAOM is the SST cd.

34"Show Me the Way" has a neat wah-wah sound, but it's a worse cover than "Just Like Heaven." "Poledo" is worse than both of them.
There are rumors of a Dinosaur Jr reunion DVD. In the meantime, http://www.freesofree.net has a whole shitload of live mpgs and flacs.
Does anyone else think J Mascis is funny? I'm spent much of my working day reading archived interviews on Freakscene.net and he cracks me up.

upon my first listen to Lou's song "Lose" on YLAOM, I "lost my shit" and immediately bought a 4 track (which I still have).
life-changing record.
not crap.
EDIT: I'm dumb. I meant "Poledo".
Pure L, sorry it took me two months to respond to this.
The Peel Sessions are available on a cd called "The BBC Sessions". It may be technically out of print, but I got a copy off Amazon recently for under $10.
Salut Pure L and your Ruby Doe, you are in an excellent Seattle rock band!

I had the pleasure of meeting J Mascis and Murph as the tour manager I work alongside used to look after them in the UK.
The best way I could describe J would be to reference the kiss episode of Family Guy. He very much reminded me of Ace Frehley's depiction.

38Not Crap but some waffles.
You're Living All Over Me is probably my all time favourite album. That or Spirits Rejoice by Albert Ayler.
Sure, I know it's not the greatest record of all time or anything but when it came out I felt like somehow I'd been waiting forever for a record like this to arrive. It was exactly the album I wanted to hear at that moment so I'll forever have a soft spot in my heart for it. In fact I doubt that a month has gone by since late '87 where I haven't listened to it at least once.
That said, these days I dislike Mascis's habit of making every solo on every song he plays live about five or six times longer than the records. It just gets old so quickly and grates on my nerves.
When it works it can be glorious but too often he just seems to be desperately cramming every single solo with every melodic device in his repertoire into every song in some kind of hyper kinetic trance.
See how I avoided the use of the word "wanking" there?.
