Either way they're greatthe bass or the guitar?the bass is japanese and i bought it without electronics. now the pickup is an EGC bass humbucker and i put on a massive kahler brass bridge for the late 70s. sounds great...the guitar is most probably japanese but without logo and some minor differences it could be a pre serial model. i've only seen these two ore three of these models in the netherlands and germany. i think that somewhere inside there is something written like #21. Cool. I was wondering about the guitar. Post a pic of the neck plate and I can tell you who made it if you want.

Most likely Japanese but could be Barth as well. Both are great.

Pretty cool piece. How can you tell the Japanese from the Barth made ones from the front? Neck dots maybe? They both used the same pickup and hardware.

The original 70's Black Eagle Ibanez bass should be considered a lethal weapon. It was beyond boat-anchor status.I'm glad they re-issued it.
