anyway, tattoos. not 'tats.' tattoos. they are crap unless they are not crap. they are not crap if they are nice tattoos.
i know people, like the guy who did my tattoo, who are fuckin' covered with them and look great. his tattoos, and in fact all good tattoos, don't flow out of edgy cutting-edge edgetastic extremism. they flow out of whoever has them. they seem like extensions of the person. some aspect of their personality played out on their skin.
i also know people who have but a single one that is something dumb, and it looks dumb. these tattoos are usually byproducts of a youthful lark or indiscretion or fascination of some sort. or fish. i once saw a guy who had a rainbow trout tattooed to his forehead. not sure that one would wear well.
my tattoo, she is like my eyebrows. i do not need her, but i look at her and think i am glad to have her, and she is just part of my body at this point.
my sister, she has a tattoo of flathead lake. a lake! as seen from above! genius.
does anyone know about this technique for reworking old black tattoos so that they look like embedded slate? i heard about it years ago.

I liked the role Herve Villechaize played on Fantasy Island. I mean "De plane" is the definitive catch phrase.
