Haven't seen the video. What's it like?

bunch of kids with down syndrom dressed in white dancing on a field. and i really think it's beautiful, seriously. fits to the music perfectly. but i saw it only once, when mtv2 was doing one of theirs 100top vids list, normally no one will play it cause it's way too long (or maybe there's and edit version?)
and i just want to say i know that laughing at retarted people is total uber-nowaffles-CRAP... so i will really go and drink now.

Sigur Ros just play philly and I've never seen them and tickets were 24 dollars. But the guy who did see them that paid $20 for the t-shirt said they ended the show with a bang. Jury still out

i've only heard their records, but they're kind of inconsistantly good/shitty throughout, so ten -- could go either way

I'm with Faiz here. I absolutely loved one song, and very much liked another. But it does stink of one-trick pony after a while. "Haunting use of a bow". "Haunting vocals". Every song does the same thing over and over, at the same tempo.
I went to see them live supporting Godspeed You Black Emperor after only hearing the 2 songs i was so impressed by. But they reeked big time. It was amazing at first, then it just became so dull. The same tricks over and over. Approximately 65 minutes into their 40 minute set (yes really) the plug was pulled on them by Godspeed's crew. Most of us cheered. About 3 people at the front booed. Sigur Ros apologised for not being able to carry on. Apologised!? Fuck off lads. Godspeed then went on to play a reduced set, fired up and angry. They melted my face right off.

Sigur Ros? Totally crap. WF 1.5 for the song i love and for winding Godspeed up to make them the best i ever saw them live.
