36my friend jesse from Vista CA has a band called Upsilon Acrux that has done some very interesting things, and they're getting better. they've put out some pretty good records. i'd endorse them. i don't think they have a webpage, though.
there's a band called Pissed Jeans from PA who have a great 7" and self-released tape, and a song called "ashamed of my cum".
also, Grand Ulena from St. Louis MO.. best STL band since Dazzling Killmen. they have an excellent LP on Family Vineyard that was recorded at Semaphore.

37This Heat
The stuff they created was so ahead of its time, yet hardly anyone seems to know about them. Incredible band.
There's also this awesome band here in the Twin Cities called Self Evident that's pretty badass consisting of an average-sized guitarist and drummer, and and Andre the Giant sized bassist w/afro.

'cuz their goddamned stuff's out of print and hard as hell to get...and that label (i forget their name now) has been saying they're gonna put out one of 'em (Deceit, i think?) so i've held off spending obscene amount of money for it in the hopes of an upcoming reissue...but it's been forever and still no reissue...it pisses me off!!!
the same argument could be made about The Pop Group...but i did spend obscene amounts of money for their stuff...there was no word of future reissues back then, however...
