sparky wrote:"Scum" by Bark Psychosis, twenty odd minutes long and worth every second. Strangely, have never been able to get into anything else that they have recorded. One of those bands that I'd say their existence was justified by a single song.
God, this is such a great song. So great. I like everything these guys did, though.
Street Hassle, as previously mentioned, would make my list.

I discovered a new entry for this category when I went cd shopping this weekend (NOT in the snow):
Today is The Day, Birthright from Kiss The Pig
It is my opinion that Steve Austin is generally quite prolific in this category (see Sadness Will Prevail).

King Crimson - Fracture
Most people I've encountered do not know that this was a live track from Amsterdam in 1973. Fripp did overdub "Larks" style guitaring to the last motive, along with Bruford's bombastic sheet metal explosion finale for the Starless and Bible Black release. One can find the entire performance from that night, along with the un-overdubbed version of said song, on the DGM release The Nightwatch
Note: This was not a marketing scheme, I promise.
