There are a couple live clips on YouTube of the new band.
You lucky dog, you get to see the White Mice and Lightning Bolt all the time! Grr!

I ran sound for Flipper in 1984 at the 7th St. Entry. It was the loudest thing I ever heard in there, including Whitehouse, Swans, SPK... Will Shatter was absolutely out of his gourd demanding bottles of mineral water. Amazing, they did two nights. So great.

Running sound for Flipper. That must have been a hoot. Did Will ask you to
pin everything? Did they show up for sound check?

It was a hoot and a half. They were really pretty nice guys to work with, even Will in his craziness calmed down once I got him the mineral water. And they sure kicked ass, that drummer was so great. Their amps were all sort of messed up Fenders, all painted up and such. Sounded wonderful.

Cubby Bear!!
I was there for both shows, dude! What was it, 1981? '82? I had my head in the bass drum at the end of "the Wheel." Remember me? Good times, good times...
What? A little bit, actually. What? No, just speak up a little. If I look at you when you talk it's okay. What?

Oh my god, "The Wheel."
I hated this song for years because my next-door neighbor used to play it ceaselessly when I lived in the Bronx. I finally turned around on it when I went to college.
Now I am going to put it on and annoy
my neighbor. And the circle continues.

I think it was called Never Mind. You wouldn't Understand Anyway.
It had a closed loop on the vinyl. I'd set that baby to play for my downstairs
neighbor in the morning and let it go all day. He hated me. Actually, we
were best of friends, but he still hated me. Then one day, when I was in
the throws of a Grade C hangover, he played Fernando (abba) over
and over - just like I did to him.
His weapon was more effective. I capitulated.
Maybe it was Forget It. You Wouldn't Understand
