At the singer's request, I'm using an 835 on the tour I'm currently doing FOH sound for. We're 3 weeks in and I've found it to have a slightly scooped mid-range (a good thing, I think, as its design has removed the frequecy range I often take out when using a 58), but has an annoying harshness in the upper-mids (around 2kHz-4kHz). This presence peak is anything but subtle.

Yeah. 'Articulate' = 'presence'. A bit too much for some voices...
